Places to Visit in Delhi, India are numerous but generally have their own distinct personalities that make them unique. If you are on a vacation, you will want to check out places like Raj Ghat, Sarojini Nagar and Jama Masjid. Each of these places has its own charm and is worth a visit.
Delhi, India is the capital city of India. It is also the seat of the national government. In Old Delhi, an area dating back to the 16th century, stands the imposing Mughal Red Fort, an emblem of India and the sprawling, vast Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque in India. The nearby places to see are Chandni Chowk, which is a vibrant bazaari shop filled with sweets, food carts and fruit stands. It is known as the city of gates and is the birth place of freedom fighters.
In present-day Delhi, tourists can visit places like Jantar Mantar, where the first Indian constitution was written. Also known as the golden triangle, it is the site of the three main ministries of the national government: the prime minister’s office, the cabinet and the vice president’s office. This sacred site is a must-see tourist spot.
In Agra, one can get a taste of history and culture at the Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this marble structure is regarded as the biggest attraction in the city. It was built over a lake that was so dirty that it gave birth to a thousand-year-old curse. A staircase from the top brings visitors to a grandiose paradise embellished with minarets and minarets buildings. A walk through the marble gardens and corridors will take you to a world of royal beauty.
A few hours drive from Delhi to Agra is the capital of Rajasthan. A great variety of Rajasthani places of interest can be explored here. The famous forts of Rajasthan include Mehrangarh Fort, Junagarh Fort, Amber Fort and Junagarh Fort, Udaipur, etc. Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, is also a few hours drive from Delhi.

Here one can experience the cultural diversity, architectural prowess and multi-cultural heritage of India. A must-visit for tourists coming to Delhi is the Jama Masjid.
